Welcome to Videahopes
I am Vebronia, better known as Vinnie. I enjoy writing, the foremost reason why I create this blog. I love Indonesian literatures since high school. I write a poetry sometimes and still keep a journal. I also never get bored of buying novels and watching movies. I once dreamed of being an editor, but ended up as a chemistry student. I have no regrets about this fate, since studying chemistry was enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed both analytical and inorganic chemistry.
After graduation, I taught chemistry for senior high school students and math for elementary students in an international school in the capital of East Nusa Tenggara. Then, I began a career in environmental sectors by working as an analyst in an environmental laboratory. For years, I have had a privilege to develop our laboratory, conduct environmental monitoring, work with data analysis, and communicate it to decision makers. The latter is always challenging. This, then, motivated me to pursue a higher education in the University of Melbourne with the Australia Awards Scholarship and graduated as a Master of Environment. I am interested in environmental decision-making processes, particularly how we can bridge science to have an adaptive management and policy that fits local conditions. I am an R and a QGIS user. Currently, my works are focusing on pollution controls, a domain that centers my concern on karst groundwater risks to contamination.
This blog will be a medium for sharing ideas, perspectives, opinions, reviews, information, and experiences. I hope this platform can encourage a personal or collective reflection about something or light a fire under someone to do something or simply bring a smile to your lip.
